We’re living in a fast paced world. There is no place for love and patience among married couples today. Many reasons can be attributed to this highly detrimental trend. A new blog post itself will be required if you want me to include all those reasons. This trend is detrimental in a way because it shakes the roots of the society. According to statistics, the rate of divorce in Canada, USA and some European countries like Finland and Sweden is high when compared to that in countries such as India, China and Iran.

It is good to see that there are lots of stable marriages in countries such as India. But it’s a fact that 85% of the statistics are untrue. There can be many stable marriages there but is there any guarantee for them to be happy ones? This has to be taken into account. If at all the partners understand one another’s mind and needs well and act accordingly without any ego, there are chances for the marriage to survive the test of time. Respect for one’s spouse’s emotions, thoughts and preferences are what every married person should do in order to keep the bond long and strong. Shedding one’s ego plays a vital role in keeping a marriage eternal.

These can be done only when the couple is practical and wishes to proceed further to some good times together. If the partner commits vile acts such as domestic violence and other such atrocities it is always better to call it quits and live one’s life happily. Though happiness is something that comes from within, it cannot be attained or felt if there is always some internal problem within the family. Some people endure unimaginable problems and still come up with more resilience to only be happy.

India, Sri Lanka and Japan are the top 3 countries with the lowest divorce rate and Belarus, the USA and Sweden are the top 3 countries with the highest. The rate of divorce in Canada lies between these two extremes. While the rate in India is as low as 1.1, it touches 37.0 and 54.9 in Canada and the USA respectively. A news article proclaims that Australia seems to be in the midst of a slow transition. It seems the rate of divorce has touched an unusually lower level in Australia this year. This looks like a welcome sign for a brighter future for those who are contemplating divorce. It would be really wonderful if divorce in Canada goes down. A family is a family only if its members are together and support one another through thick and thin.
